Surry Solar Services was started in 1974 as a response to the rising energy prices, and the owners philosophy to use less of the earth's resources and to live simply.  The base operations have been located in a passive solar building for most of this time which utilizes less than 1 dollar per day for electricity, cooling, and heating. 

Our expertise has developed from more than 25 years of work with solar thermal systems. Hot water and heating systems of all manufactures, sizes, and configurations.  We consider our business to have three strong offerings which are:

• Expert diagnostic trouble-shooting of existing systems,

• Expert design and installation of new systems, and

• Manufacturer and integrator of Solar Hero Heat Exchanger (TM) and balance of systems.

We started our web presence with Solarhero in 1999.  As a small company we are proud to continue offering innovations new to the solar field such as our Solar Hero Helper and Solar Hero Heat Exchanger.
